Apple to Integrate OpenAI's ChatGPT into Its Devices

New AI Features and Global Launch of Apple Vision Pro Announced

Apple announced today at its annual developer conference that it will partner with OpenAI to bring generative artificial intelligence technology and the ChatGPT chatbot to its devices.

The integration of ChatGPT will be available later this year, with additional AI features to follow. Access to the chatbot will be free.

The company also unveiled a new platform, "Apple Intelligence," designed to help users create text and images and gather relevant data when needed. The digital assistant Siri will also use this platform to perform tasks more efficiently, according to Apple.

Additionally, Apple introduced new versions of the operating systems for iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices.

The tech giant also revealed the Private Cloud Compute system to help users secure their data when sending it to data centers.

During the same event, Apple announced the global launch of the Apple Vision Pro. Pre-orders for China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore will begin on June 13, with availability starting on June 28. Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom will follow, with pre-orders beginning on June 28 and sales starting on July 12.

Apple shares are down approximately 1.8% following the announcements, just before the close of trading on Wall Street.
