Black Friday 2025: Skroutz Reveals How Cyprus Shopped Online

Orders, spending and Cyber Monday trends highlight a strong week for online shopping.

Skroutz presents the Black Friday 2025 Report, offering an overview of this year’s consumer purchasing activity and the product categories that stood out during the discount period.

Growth in order volume and an increase in the average order value were the key characteristics of Black Friday week, with the total number of orders rising by 85% compared to 2024. As for the average order value, it once again remained consistently high in Cyprus, reaching €148. This stability indicates that consumers took full advantage of seasonal offers when making their purchases.

At the same time, total turnover generated through Skroutz in Cyprus increased by 97% year-on-year, confirming both the continued momentum of online shopping and the growing preference of consumers for marketplace services, as well as for discounted products covering a wide range of needs.

Increased Use of Skroutz Points

The entry of Skroutz Last Mile (SLM) into the Cypriot market in May 2025 marked a significant upgrade in the delivery experience for local consumers. The installation of the first Skroutz Points from late summer reflects a targeted effort to offer faster and more flexible parcel collection, with 36 locations already in operation and more than 100 additional points planned for 2026.

Notably, during the three-day Black Friday period, almost 15% of consumers opted for delivery via Skroutz Points, despite the network being in operation for less than six months, highlighting growing consumer preference for the new pickup network.

Cyber Monday and On-the-Go Shopping

Orders placed via the Skroutz app and on-the-go shopping increased by 58% compared to the same period last year, illustrating a significant shift in how consumers in Cyprus now make their purchases.

Cyber Monday closed the Black Friday shopping week with a strong performance, recording a 76.3% increase in purchases compared to purchases made on Mondays between 1 September and 1 December. At the same time, turnover on Cyber Monday rose sharply, reaching an increase of 135.3%.

Cyber Monday data is based on research comparing Mondays from 01/09/2025 to 01/12/2025.
