CITEA announces the appointment of Giorgos Malekkos as its new President, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Association and the broader information technology sector. Upon assuming the role, the new President expressed sincere appreciation to the outgoing President, Dimitris Nisiotis, for his significant contribution and dedicated service, as well as to all members of the Association for their unanimous vote of confidence.

Commenting on his appointment, Giorgos Malekkos stated: “It is with great honour that I assume the Presidency of CITEA. During my term, my main priority is for our members to truly experience the value that CITEA offers, through actions, participation, representation, and meaningful impact on our sector.”

Under the new Presidency, CITEA’s strategic focus will be on reinforcing its role as a key stakeholder in the evolution of the information technology landscape. The Association is entering a new era with a clear ambition to leave a strong and lasting footprint in the sector. This includes active participation in Artificial Intelligence communities, supporting the State and the industry with specialised expertise, and investing in the next generation through collaborations with schools.
