Columbia Shipmanagement Expands Operations in Turkey
Cyprus-Based Shipping Firm to Manage Turkish Fleet
Columbia Shipmanagement, one of the most significant ship management companies based in Cyprus, has decided to strengthen its presence in Turkey. This information comes from a report by the Turkish newspaper "Dunya," which titled the article "Greek Cypriot Company to Manage Turkish Ships."
According to the report, CSM, headquartered in Limassol, will manage the fleet of Transoba Denizcilik, a company based in Istanbul.
With this agreement, the Cyprus-based company is enhancing its operations in Turkey. The company had opened an office in Turkey last year.
The Turkish bulk cargo transportation company was founded by the Transoba family in 1994. Its fleet consists of three supramax ships: Ocean Destiny, Ocean Diamond, and Ocean Freedom, which were built in 2010, 2011, and 2013, respectively.
CSM, which will begin managing the Turkish company's fleet, has offices and companies in countries such as Germany, Singapore, China, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Monaco, and Norway, in addition to its headquarters in Limassol.
