Philip Morris Cyprus has received the "Employer of Equality" certification from the National Certification Body, reaffirming its commitment to promoting equality and equal opportunities in the workplace. This distinction recognizes the company's ongoing efforts to implement policies that ensure fairness and inclusivity across all its operations.

The certification is based on the Cypriot Business Certification Model for Gender Equality, which evaluates best practices such as ensuring equal opportunities for career advancement and development, work-life balance, and implementing the principle of "equal pay for equal work or work of equal value."

During the certification ceremony, held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, and officiated by the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Mr. Yiannis Panayiotou, Philip Morris Cyprus presented its methodology for job evaluation. The methodology involves assessing all job positions using objective criteria, regardless of gender, and mapping them to corresponding pay scales. This approach fully aligns with the European Directive (EU) 2023/970 on pay transparency, positioning Philip Morris Cyprus as a role model in fostering a sustainable and fair work environment. The company’s presentation, titled "Job Evaluation and Pay Alignment," was highlighted as a benchmark for best practices in gender equality.
