SKY express Launches Direct Larnaca to Heraklion Flights

Expanding its Network, SKY express Enhances Air Travel Options with New Airbus A320neo Services

SKY express warmly welcomes the summer season by inaugurating a direct flight connection between Larnaca and Heraklion. Beginning on May 16, these flights, now open for bookings, will operate three times a week utilizing the latest generation Airbus A320neo aircraft.

SKY express's flight schedule based in Larnaca is upgraded as follows:

  • Three daily flights year-round from/to Athens

  • Four weekly flights year-round from/to Thessaloniki

  • Three weekly flights from/to Heraklion

  • A morning flight schedule from Larnaca to Athens facilitates convenient connections to European destinations in the SKY express network, minimizing waiting time in Athens or overnight stays.

  • The airline also offers connections to other countries through interline partnerships with major airlines.

This new route coincides with SKY express's three-year continuous presence in Cyprus. It aligns with the airline's commitment to constantly enhancing the island's connectivity and, by extension, its economic and tourism development.

As the only double-award-winning Greek airline in Europe for excellence and innovation, SKY express has rapidly brought significant benefits to Cypriot passengers. Its presence has introduced more choices with new connections, additional schedules, innovative products, and quality services, contributing to healthy competition and reduced fares.

Simultaneously, responding to passenger needs, SKY express enhanced its fare types (SKY joy, SKY joy+, SKY enjoy) by adding "BLISS," the company's Business Class. "BLISS" redefines the travel experience, offering priority and comfort at every journey stage, access to VIP lounges (SKY express is the only Greek airline with VIP lounges in three destinations: Heraklion, Athens, and Thessaloniki year-round), extra baggage allowance, and high-quality meals. Moreover, the Business Class is designed with environmental considerations and sustainable practices in mind.

By choosing Cyprus as its first international destination, SKY express has demonstrated a long-term commitment to the island's prospects. This is symbolized by the recent naming of its first Airbus A321neo as "CYPRUS," attended by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides.

Gerasimos Skaltsas, the Commercial Director of SKY express, remarks: "As we enter our third year in Cyprus, our choice is vindicated daily. Today, our relationship strengthens further as we connect two significant destinations for SKY express: Cyprus, where our journey to international destinations began, and Heraklion, reflecting our roots. It's a strategic decision to invest in the island, contributing to its increased connectivity and expanding choices for its residents and visitors. We came to Cyprus to stay and to travel together!"
