Rise of 1.8% in Cyprus Industrial Production in March
According To Eurostat, Production In The EU Remained At Lower Levels.
Industrial production in Cyprus recorded an increase of 1.8% in March 2026 compared to the corresponding month of 2025. On a monthly basis, production rose by 1.2%.
According to data published by Eurostat on Wednesday, both the annual and monthly increases recorded in Cyprus were higher than the average across the European Union.
At the EU level, seasonally adjusted industrial production in March 2026 increased by 0.2% in the eurozone and by 0.8% in the EU compared to the previous month.
On an annual basis, industrial production decreased by 2.1% in the eurozone and by 1.0% in the EU.
In monthly terms within the eurozone, production increased by 0.9% for intermediate goods, 1.1% for capital goods, and 0.5% for durable consumer goods, while it declined by 1.5% for energy and by 4.5% for non-durable consumer goods.
Across the EU overall, increases were recorded in intermediate goods (1.4%), capital goods (1.2%), and durable consumer goods (1.1%), while declines were noted in energy (-1.0%) and non-durable consumer goods (-2.8%).
Among member states with available data, the largest monthly increases were recorded in Denmark (8.4%), Bulgaria (5.8%), and Poland (5.4%). The largest decreases were recorded in Belgium (-3.0%), Estonia (-2.6%), and Sweden (-1.9%).
On an annual basis, the largest declines were recorded in Ireland (-19.4%), Luxembourg (-5.7%), and Malta (-3.6%), while the largest increases were recorded in Denmark (16.8%), Latvia (9.5%), and Greece (8.4%).
Eurostat noted that the figures are preliminary estimates for industrial production in the EU and the eurozone.
