Junior Achievement Cyprus is excited to announce the launch of the "Young Female Leaders" program, a unique initiative that aspires to cultivate the leadership skills of young women aged 14-18. The program is implemented with the valuable support made possible through a competitive award  from the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Impact Award program and the U.S. Embassy in Cyprus.

Dr. Antigoni Komodiki, CEO of JA Cyprus, is coordinating this effort, following her inspiring experience in the USA in 2023, as part of the IVLP program. This lifetime journey offered her not only new knowledge and skills, but also strengthened her commitment to promoting gender equal opportunities in Cyprus. She was recently honored with the IVLP Impact Award which recognized the impact of the educational programs she coordinates throughout Cypriot society. The award was the catalyst for the creation of the program, which aims to empower young women in Cyprus and inspire them to lead with vision and impact.

Did you know that 55% of CEOs in the Junior Achievement Company program are girls? Unfortunately, this number is limited to 15% in the real business world. The "Young Female Leaders" program intends to change this reality. The aim is to bridge this gap by encouraging girls to discover and enhance their leadership skills and develop into tomorrow's leaders. Although the program will take place in Limassol, it is open to girls from every corner of Cyprus!

Key details of the program:

• Program start: September 2024, with a one-day event

• Duration: September 2024 - January 2025 (around 30 hours in total)

• Format: Interactive online and face-to-face meetings

• Area: Limassol

• Language: English

• Eligibility: Girls aged 14-18 from all over Cyprus

• Participants: 10 girls will be selected, the future leaders!

• Registration deadline: August 25, 2024
