Eight Scholarships Announced By The Andreas P. Lanitis Foundation
Opportunities For Postgraduate Students For The Academic Year 2024 – 2025
The Andreas P. Lanitis Foundation has announced that, as part of its social mission, it is offering eight scholarships for the fifth consecutive year, each lasting one year, for Master’s level postgraduate studies for the academic year 2024 – 2025.
According to the Foundation's announcement, interested individuals can contact the Foundation's email address [email protected] to obtain the relevant application form, as well as the terms and criteria for participation.
The deadline for submitting applications is November 8, 2024.
Candidates must have Cypriot citizenship and must have been born after December 31, 1989. They should have been accepted for Master’s level postgraduate studies for the academic year 2024 – 2025 at a university recognized by the Republic of Cyprus, it must be their first Master’s degree at this level, and they must hold a degree from a recognized university in the Republic of Cyprus with a minimum passing grade equivalent to “Excellent” or “Very Good.”
The family income should not exceed €35,000 net earnings, or if they are self-supporting, their own income should not exceed €20,000. Candidates must not be receiving or have received during the specified academic period for the same studies any other scholarship, grant, aid, or any other form of financial support from another entity, and they must be proficient in both Greek and the language of the postgraduate studies they will pursue.
It is noted that candidates will be evaluated through an interview by the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee.
When announcing the results, consideration will be given to undergraduate studies, financial data, special social reasons, the interview, and the overall assessment of the applicant.
It is clarified that fields of study related to Electronic Technology, Energy, Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Environment, Health, Maritime Studies, and Engineering will carry additional weight in the evaluation.
It is particularly emphasized that the Committee will not consider applications that are incomplete or do not include all necessary documentation.
The Foundation’s Scholarship Committee will invite candidates who meet the criteria of the announcement for an interview after evaluating the applications, which may also be conducted online.
