The National Skills Competition, SkillsCyprus, held biennially since 2010, aims to upgrade technical and vocational training and professional skills, while also attracting more young people to technical professions. It is organized in the model of the European Euroskills competition, which is held biennially by the European organization WorldSkills Europe (WSE), representing the largest and most significant event in the field of vocational education and training in Europe, for young people up to 25 years old.

The CPC also mentions that its vision is for this year’s event to inspire the next generation of capable young people to follow their passion, interests, and talents, securing their future and the future of Cyprus. In doing so, it enhances innovation and productivity in the businesses and organizations where they work or will work.
