With the participation of high school students from private schools, UCLan Cyprus organized the Business Escape Challenge on February 8 and 9. The university announced that the interactive competition, titled "Business Escape Challenge: Can you Unlock the Mystery," was a collaboration between the UCLan Cyprus School of Business and the Cyprus Youth Organization.

In the competition, participants developed skills such as teamwork, analytical thinking, collaboration, argumentation, and problem-solving under time pressure. They tackled business and other puzzles to 'escape' from specially created rooms at UCLan Cyprus.

Specifically, students formed teams of up to six members and faced creative challenges. They participated in solving puzzles and mysteries in five different themed 'escape rooms,' covering areas such as accounting and finance, business administration, English linguistics, tourism and hospitality, and marketing and advertising.

At the end of the activities, the winning teams from each day of the competition were announced and awarded cash prizes and scholarships to study at the university.

Dr. Andria Michael, Deputy Program Leader of the English Literature program and organizer of the Competition, expressed satisfaction with the students' efforts and encouraged them to continue developing their entrepreneurial thinking.

During the award ceremonies, Professor Loukas Glyptis, Dean of the School of Business, remarked, "We observe the establishment of the Business Escape Challenge in the school community as a means of developing critical skills essential for both successful university studies and the students' future professional careers."
