Women in STEM Cyprus Summit 2025 Turns Inspiration Into Action Through Interactive Workshops

4 hands-on sessions designed to help women amplify their voices, navigate new careers, and build financial confidence.

As the Women in STEM Cyprus Summit 2025 – Voices of Change returns to Nicosia on November 21, the spotlight will not only be on the keynote speakers and high-level discussions, but on a series of interactive workshops designed to turn words into action.

Co-organized by Women in Tech® Cyprus and TechIsland, the second edition of the Summit aims to translate inspiration into empowerment — helping women gain the skills, confidence, and community needed to thrive in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

While the main stage at The Loft Bar & Restaurant (UNIC Rooftop) will feature influential figures from politics, business, and academia, the four parallel workshops will provide a more intimate setting for learning, reflection, and growth. Participation is free, but seats are limited and require separate registration through womenintech-cyprus.org.

Amplifying Women’s Voices in Tech

11:00 – 11:50 | Facilitator: Biljana Kocevska Adam, Senior Associate Director, Human Resources, MUFG Investor Services

The first session, Amplifying Voices, explores how women in technology can move from self-empowerment to collective empowerment — using their voices not only to advocate for themselves but to uplift others. Through storytelling and practical exercises, participants will identify subtle communication patterns that either silence or strengthen women’s voices in meetings, mentorship, and leadership.

Beyond Coding: Building a Non-Tech Career in Tech

12:00 – 12:50 | Facilitator: Anna Gurina, Chief Revenue Officer, INXY Payments

For those who want to enter the tech industry without a programming background, Non-Tech Career in Tech reveals the ecosystem of roles that drive innovation from the business, marketing, and customer sides. Attendees will leave with a list of 20 non-technical career paths, a “Value Translation Table” to articulate transferable skills, and tools to plan their next step in the industry.

Financial Wellbeing for a Stronger Future

13:00 – 13:50 | Facilitator: Dr. Maryam Kazemi Manesh, Senior Project Delivery Manager, GILAWA Ltd

Money remains one of the most powerful enablers of independence — yet often one of the least discussed topics among women. The Own Your Money, Thrive in Life workshop takes an honest look at financial confidence, salary discussions, and investment basics. Through guided reflections and peer conversations, participants will learn practical strategies to align financial goals with personal and professional fulfillment.

Women and Investments: From Saving to Growing Wealth

14:00 – 14:50 | Facilitator: Michaella Savva, Manager, Wealth Management, Investment Services, Eurobank Ltd
Workshop Partner: Eurobank

Concluding the workshop series, Women & Investments tackles the persistent wealth gap and offers actionable insights on how women can move from saving to investing. Backed by real-world data and examples, the session encourages participants to take practical steps toward long-term financial growth and independence.

A Movement for Systemic Change

Regarding the Summit, Tanya Romanyukha, General Manager of TechIsland and Director of Women in Tech® Cyprus, noted, “‘Voices of Change’ expresses our commitment to ensure that women not only have a seat at the table where decisions are made, but the power to shape the future of science and technology. Together, we can drive sustainable, long-term change.

Supported by a wide range of partners and sponsors — including MUFG Investor Services (Gold Sponsor), Adsterra and University of Nicosia (Silver Sponsors), and Eurobank (Workshop Partner) — the summit’s 2025 edition will also host thought-provoking sessions on AI, gender equality, women’s wellbeing, and policymaking.
