Introducing Digital Email Registration In FIMAS

Enhancing Efficiency And Sustainability At The General Treasury

The General Treasury of the Republic introduced on Wednesday the new digital service "Email Registration in FIMAS" as part of its commitment to digitize processes and improve services provided to citizens.

According to an announcement by the General Treasury, through this service, all beneficiaries receiving payments from the FIMAS accounting system of the General Treasury will be able to declare the email address where they wish to receive electronically the "Payment Details" form.

It states that the electronic sending of the "Payment Details" form will gradually replace the practice of sending it via mail, with an expected saving of approximately 300,000 postal letters annually.

Additionally, the General Treasury adds that the new digital service "Email Registration in FIMAS" is available through the Gov.cy website and is aimed at both legal entities and individuals who wish to receive the "Payment Details" form easily, quickly, and environmentally friendly via email.

Furthermore, the General Treasury mentions that for the registration/change of the beneficiary's email address through this service, a verified CY Login account is required. However, the user of CY Login does not necessarily need to be the same person as the beneficiary for whom the registration/change of email address will be made, and recent "Payment Details" forms from the last 2 years are required (including the beneficiary's code and installment number - example of "Payment Details" form).
