Ciacco: A true Italian culinary journey in the heart of Protaras

The personal experience of our team

Italy didn’t feel far away that night. It was right there at our table, woven into the atmosphere, and reflected in the warm hospitality of the Ciacco team.

Some meals are simply enjoyable, while others become unforgettable experiences. Our evening at Ciacco in Protaras belonged in the second category, an authentic Italian gastronomic journey that delighted our senses from start to finish.

From the moment we stepped inside, we fell in love with the ambiance. The soft lighting, elegant décor, and unmistakable aura of dolce vita created the perfect setting for memorable moments and gorgeous photos.

Everything was set, and we were ready to immerse ourselves fully into the magic of Italian culture. The dinner began on a fresh, balanced, and promising note. First came the burrata salad, light and exquisitely creamy, melting effortlessly in our mouths. Next, two starters left us genuinely impressed: the fritta balls were hot, crispy, perfectly fried, and utterly addictive. Alongside these, the goat cheese tart was a small masterpiece, beautifully presented, which won over our eyes first and then delighted our palates. It was the perfect introduction to the dishes that followed.

For mains, the Daviola pizza brought fire to the table, offering a spicy kick guaranteed to please lovers of bold, fiery flavors. Then came the chicken Milanese, with a delightfully crunchy yet feather-light crust that encased perfectly tender and juicy meat within. The black linguine with vongole, crafted from squid ink pasta and fresh clams, provided a simple yet authentically Italian harmony of flavors.

Just when we thought, "That's it, we couldn't possibly eat another bite," the black truffle ravioli arrived. Filled with silky cream and served in a delectable mushroom sauce, each bite was pure bliss, impossible to resist, even though we felt there was no space left. The alluring fragrance of truffle elevated the dish to something truly special, warm and inviting, tempting us to finish it all. And yes, we did. Any regrets? Not even for a second.

We were more than satisfied, perhaps more than we should have been. But as the unwritten rule of indulgence goes, dessert doesn’t occupy space in the stomach; it claims a place in your heart. So, when the pistachio calzone arrived, we couldn't help but say YES. Warm, fluffy, and bursting with luscious pistachio cream that overflowed with the very first bite, it was the perfect finale to our feast.

This was more than just dinner. It was an experience filled with the essence of Italy, the kind that makes you say, "I must come back," and truly mean it.

If you find yourself in Protaras over the long weekend, be sure to add Ciacco to your list. It’s a culinary adventure you won’t forget.
