Eurovision 2025: Where Did Cyprus Rank in the Audience Poll?
Sweden Tops Audience Poll, Cyprus Just Misses Top 10
Last night, the jury show for the first semi-final of Eurovision 2025 took place—an event that, while no longer influencing the official results due to the removal of jury votes in semi-finals, remains vital for final staging and performance rehearsals.
For the first time this year, the show was held in front of a live audience. At the end of the evening, attendees were invited to cast their votes in the Eurovision Audience Poll—an unofficial but telling indication of audience preferences ahead of tonight’s live semi-final.
Although this vote carries no official weight, it offers early insight into which countries made an impression on a sample of the viewing public.
According to the poll results, Sweden took a clear lead, earning 346 votes (21.1%). The Netherlands followed with 197 votes (13.2%), while Estonia (9.2%) and San Marino (9.0%) claimed third and fourth place, respectively.
The top ten was rounded out by Albania, Belgium, Norway, Iceland, Poland, and Slovenia.
Cyprus landed just outside the top 10 in 11th place with 39 votes (2.6%), just behind Slovenia and tied in vote count.
A separate informal poll was also conducted for the pre-qualified countries heading directly to the Grand Final. Switzerland led that tally with 61 votes, followed by Spain (58) and Italy (27).
