The June 9 election brought significant changes, with an independent candidate and far right ELAM securing seats in the European Parliament for the first time. AKEL reduced its seats to one, and EDEK did not elect any MEPs.

With 100% of the votes counted, Cyprus's citizens chose the following six representatives for the European Parliament:

• Loukas Fourlas and Michalis Hadjipantela (DISY)

• George Georgiou (AKEL)

• Fidias Panayiotou (Independent)

• Geadis Geadis (ELAM)

• Costas Mavrides (DIKO)

DISY emerged as the leading party, maintaining its two seats with the re-election of Loukas Fourlas and the election of Michalis Hadjipantela for the first time. AKEL, the second-largest party, lost one of its two seats and re-elected George Georgiou with 95% of the votes counted. DIKO re-elected Costas Mavrides, and for the first time, far right nationalist ELAM will be represented in the European Parliament by Geadis Geadis. The independent candidate Fidias Panayiotou made a surprising impact by securing the third most votes. EDEK lost its seat in the European Parliament.

• DISY: 24.8% (91,316 votes)

• AKEL: 21.67% (79,163 votes)

• Fidias Panayiotou (Independent): 19.4% (71,330 votes)

• ELAM: 11.2% (41,215 votes)

• DIKO: 9.7% (35,815 votes)

The remaining parties did not secure a seat in the European Parliament:

• EDEK: 5.1% (18,681 votes)

• Volt Cyprus: 2.9% (10,777 votes)

• DIPA: 2.2% (7,988 votes)

• Movement of Ecologists - Citizens' Cooperation: 1.3% (4,742 votes)

• Active Citizens - Hunters' Movement: 1.2% (4,603 votes)

• Animal Party Cyprus: 0.3% (1,013 votes)

• National Action Movement: 0.3% (719 votes)

• Andronikos Zervides: 0.1% (444 votes)

• Niki: 0.1% (389 votes)
