Guinness Record Broken in Dromolaxia with 75-Meter Sheftalia
4th Annual "Saint Lazarus and His Little Friend Savvas" Festival Celebrates with Record-Breaking Event
At the Perivoli of Saint Lazarus in Dromolaxia, a new Guinness World Record was set today with the preparation of a 75-meter-long sheftalia, during the 4th Annual Charity Festival "Saint Lazarus and His Little Friend Savvas."
The festival is held annually in celebration of the Feast of the Relocation of the Holy Relics of Saint Lazarus, the Righteous Friend of Christ. This year, over 150 organizations and groups are participating.
The goal of the festival is to bring joy and carefree moments to both children and adults, while raising funds to support the Saint Lazarus Center for Persons with Disabilities. This center provides services to adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. The festival also supports other charitable institutions offering care, education, and health services to those in need.
