Junior Eurovision 2025: This Is the Song Representing Cyprus (Vid)
Panteli and Georgiou to bring youthful energy to Tbilisi’s Eurovision stage this December.
For the first time, the song “AWAY” — Cyprus’s entry for the 23rd Junior Eurovision Song Contest — has been officially presented. The contest will take place on 13 December 2025 at the Olympic Palace in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Panteli and Georgiou were chosen through a national audition process organized by RIK, which attracted 70 hopeful participants. A five-member jury evaluated contestants on vocal talent, stage presence, and overall performance, awarding points using the familiar Eurovision scoring format. The duo achieved the highest overall score, earning the right to represent Cyprus.
A separate selection process determined the Cypriot entry song, with “AWAY” chosen from 20 international submissions for its energy, style, and perfect fit with the young performers’ personalities.

This marks Cyprus’s second consecutive participation since returning to the competition in 2024, when Maria Pissarides represented the country in Madrid with “Crystal Waters”, finishing 13th with 60 points.
Cyprus first entered Junior Eurovision in 2003 and has placed in the Top 10 four times, achieving its best results — 8th place — in 2004 and 2006. The island also hosted the contest in Limassol in 2008.
The Olympic Palace in Tbilisi, which also hosted the contest in 2017, will once again be the venue for Junior Eurovision 2025. Georgia earned hosting rights following Andria Putkaradze’s victory in 2024 with the song “To My Mom”, marking the country’s record-breaking fourth Junior Eurovision win.
