KOURION2030, European Capital of Culture 2030 - Candidate City, in collaboration with the cross-disciplinary collective of Open Lab Athens, is calling for collecting informational objects for the workshops held in October. This initiative aims to create a “memory” path that bridges the past with the present.

The newly established Municipality of Kourion, with the primary vision of uniting the nine communities, as part of the KOURION2030 actions - is seeking objects, photographic or functional, that bring the past into the present. Aiming to highlight the rich cultural heritage of the area, we strive to collect memories and items that reflect the daily life, traditions and customs of our region. Through this initiative, we aspire to build bridges between old and new generations, strengthening the sense of «belonging», as well as promoting our historical identity.

KOURION2030 invites the residents and friends of the Municipality to contribute with their objects, so we can create an archive capable of bringing historical memory to life. Additionally, participants will have the unique opportunity to present and narrate the story of their item to students during workshops scheduled for early October 2024.
