The Alternative Brains Rule Festival 2025 is coming to the heart of Nicosia from June 19 to 22, taking over two iconic venues: the Municipal Gardens and the Municipal Theatre. With a vibrant lineup of music, art, workshops, and culinary delights, the festival promises four days of creative exploration:

• BEST OF: Music in the Gardens – A series of open-air performances in the Municipal Gardens of Nicosia.

• 1984–NOW: The History of Electronic Music in Cyprus – A retrospective tracing the evolution of the electronic music scene.

• COMMON GROUND: Art & Workshops in the Gardens – Explore a living exhibition in the park, participate in workshops, or discover something unexpected.

• TRAPEZOMA & STREET FOOD MARKET – Savour culinary surprises—from tacos to chickpea curry, ice cream & cookies, and more.

But the Alternative Brains Rule Festival 2025 is more than just a festival. It's an open invitation to experience daily life differently.

In their commitment to sustainable mobility and safe travel, they're collaborating with Cyprus Public Transport (CPT) to offer extended N2 bus services, making it easier for attendees to arrive and depart during the nights of Friday, June 20, and Saturday, June 21.

Route Details:

• Towards University of Cyprus: Last N2 departure at 03:45 from the Mouseiou stop (right outside the Municipal Theatre).

• Towards Makario Stadium: Last N2 departure at 04:30 from the Mouseiou stop.

The N2 line operates from Makario Stadium to the University of Cyprus, stopping at key points of interest, including:

• Makario Stadium Bus Station 

• Cyprus International Fair (Kratiki Ekthesi)

• Mall of Engomi

• University of Nicosia

• Leoforos Larnakos

• University of Cyprus

Makario Stadium, Kratiki Ekthesi and the University of Cyprus stops offer Park & Ride facilities, allowing attendees to park and continue their journey by bus, avoiding congestion in the centre of town. To plan your trip and for the live bus arrival time download Pame App! 

Attendees can purchase one way ticket on the bus, or issue a plastic Motion Bus Card in a Nicosia CPT ticket office for lower price tickets. During the festival, free paper Motion Bus Cards with 4 trips will be available at the main festival entrance!

On Saturday, June 21, in collaboration with the OPU Collective, a bike bus will be organized. Grab your bike and join a ride along the Linear Park to reach the festival. The OPU cycling team will guide you from PAEEK to the Municipal Gardens—with stops at Eleonon, Strovolos Municipality, the Kypriakou Erythrou Stavrou crossing, and Anchialou Bridge (Ag. Omologites). From Kaimakli (Santa Barbara Church), the bike bus will stop at the Dog Park and continue inside the moat along the Venetian Walls towards Eleftheria Square before reaching the festival.
