LGBTQI+ Equality in Cyprus: Health and Education Conference to Take Place in Nicosia

Accept LGBTQI+ Cyprus, in collaboration with Queer Cyprus Association and Queer Collective, is proud to announce the LGBTQI+ Equality in Cyprus: Health and Education Conference, set to take place on February 21-22, 2025, at the UN Conference Centre, Ledra Palace Hotel. The event is supported by the British High Commission, Nicosia.

Bringing together experts, advocates, and community members, the conference will foster discussions on LGBTQI+ rights within the healthcare and education sectors, tackling misinformation and charting a path forward based on human rights.

The two-day event is structured as follows:

  • February 21 – Health Day: Addressing health disparities, access to care, and inclusive medical practices.

  • February 22 – Education Day: Exploring LGBTQI+ inclusion in schools and strategies for effective policy implementation.

The conference will feature distinguished speakers from the UK, including:

  • Lindsey Parr (Diversity Role Models)

  • Yvonne ‘Vonni’ Hardman (National Education Union)

  • Surya Monro (Loughborough University)

  • Dr. Michael Brady (NHS England / King’s College Hospital, London)

Key topics will include:
