Giorgos Mazonakis Wears a Silk Tie Inspired by a Roman Artefact From The Pierides Museum on the Voice of Greece
The Popular Singer's Look Was Styled by Konstantinos Champeris.
Giorgos Mazonakis appeared on The Voice of Greece wearing a silk tie designed by Michalis Pantelidis, inspired by a Roman glass artefact from the collection of the Pierides Museum – Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation. The look was styled by Konstantinos Champeris.
The tie, titled Silvered Silence, draws inspiration from a Roman glass bowl dating to the Roman Period (50 BC – 395 AD), originally used as everyday tableware. Its form and embossed exterior details are reinterpreted through contemporary silk design, capturing the quiet elegance and luminosity of ancient glass.
Mazonakis’ appearance on one of Greece’s most popular music television shows highlights the dialogue between fashion, art, and cultural heritage, demonstrating how museum artefacts can be transformed into modern, wearable design pieces.
