Historic Sea Route Reopens: New Cyprus–Lebanon Ferry Line Launches July 22
Regular passenger sailings between Cyprus and Lebanon to resume, offering a scenic Mediterranean alternative to air travel.
A new ferry route connecting Cyprus and Lebanon is set to launch on July 22, reviving a historic maritime link between the two countries.
The new line will feature regular passenger services between Larnaca and Limassol in Cyprus and the ports of Beirut and Tripoli in Lebanon. Discussions are also underway to potentially add the port of Jounieh to the itinerary.
Sailings will depart from Cyprus every Monday and from Lebanon every Friday, providing an alternative to short-haul flights. The journey will take approximately four hours, promising a more relaxed and nostalgic Mediterranean experience—ideal for those seeking something different from the typical airline cabin.
The route is expected to serve not only tourists but also Lebanese residents in Cyprus, Cypriots seeking easier access to Lebanon, and families and workers who travel frequently between the two nations. At the same time, it marks a step toward strengthening the cultural and economic ties between the two countries.
Further details regarding ticketing, ship features, and onboard amenities are expected to be announced soon.
