Independent Films, Documentaries, and Classics Under the Stars in the Garden of One of Cyprus’s Oldest Museums

The Pierides Museum’s Summer Cinema returns once again, offering magical open-air film nights beneath the stars in the lush garden of the museum, right in the heart of Larnaca.

Organized by the Larnaka Cinema Society, which has been curating non-commercial cinema since 1979, the event gives audiences the chance to enjoy high-quality films rarely found in mainstream theatres, all in a unique and culturally rich setting.

The program features a diverse mix of independent productions, award-winning documentaries, and classic films from around the world, all subtitled in Greek. The screenings span a wide range of genres and themes, offering something for every film lover.

The garden of the Pierides Museum, one of the oldest private museums in Cyprus, adds to the experience with its distinctive atmosphere—blending cultural heritage and summer leisure into an open-air cinema experience unlike any other.
