Trapezoma is a series of gatherings curated by ABR, bringing people together around the sametable. It reminds us that meaningful conversations do not always need panels, microphones or a formal setting.

They can begin simply: with food, wine, music and people sitting together, listening to one another, sharing experiences, disagreeing and making room for new ideas toe merge.

The first Trapezoma took place in the heart of the city, at the traditional coffee shop—a space deeply rooted in Cypriot life that was never only about coffee. It was a place for meeting, exchanging news and stories, joking, disagreeing and living alongside one another.

There, we revisited the coffee shop as a living public space: a place that can bring us back around the same table, help us listen to people beside us whose voices we rarely hear and open conversations about the things that affect us.

Now, we are keeping the same table and moving the conversation a little further out.

The second Trapezoma takes place in Lympia, at Kaskanter, the Cypriot wine bar, and opens a conversation about decentralization.

Not only as a move away from the city, but as a shift in experience and perspective.

Is the village something that has been left behind? Is it somehow less than the center? Or is it a place of knowledge, memory, relationships and ways of living built close to people?

What changes when the conversation moves outside the center? Whom do we hear differently? And what can the city learn from a place that still remembers things the city itself has forgotten? We invite you to sit with us, listen, speak, share your experiences and become part of a meaningful conversation about the places where we live, what is worth holding on to and how we move forward together as a community.
