Who Is Antigoni Buxton, Who Will Represent Cyprus at Eurovision 2026?
CyBC confirms the British-Cypriot artist as the country’s official entry for the 70th Eurovision Song Contest.
The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) has officially announced that Antigoni Buxton will represent the island at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, set to take place in Vienna, Austria, in May 2026. The two semi-finals are scheduled for May 12 and 14, while the Grand Final will be held on May 16, marking the contest’s return to Austria following JJ’s victory at last year’s event.
Antigoni Buxton — a British-Cypriot singer-songwriter and television personality — became widely known to the public through her appearance on the 2022 season of “Love Island UK.” However, her career in music began long before her TV fame, signing her first record deal at the age of 20.
She is the daughter of renowned chef and TV presenter Tonia Buxton, famous for her culinary shows “My Greek Kitchen” and “My Cypriot Kitchen” on the Discovery Channel.
With this announcement, CyBC continues its recent strategy of selecting young, talented diaspora artists to represent Cyprus — following Andrew Lambrou, Theo Evans, and Silia Kapsis in previous years.
Details about Antigoni’s Eurovision song, staging concept, and creative team are yet to be revealed.
