Winter swimmers once again kept their regular appointment today, the last Saturday of the year, continuing a tradition they have faithfully followed for several years at the beach near the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) offices in Larnaca.

This morning’s gathering was different from usual, as in addition to swimming in the sea, the programme also included exchanging warm wishes and enjoying a generous food spread on the beach.

The winter swimmers wished health and happiness to every household in the new year, along with many more swims in the sea.

They also expressed the hope that the new year would be better than 2025, which will be drawing to a close in just a few days.

Friends of the winter swimmers were also present, having been invited to join the beach gathering.

The winter swimmers meet every Saturday morning at the same location, both in winter and summer, and regularly enjoy swimming in the sea.
