Borghese Ventures Chairman Holds One-On-One Meetings With Four Heads of State and Key Stakeholders
These Meetings Highlight Mr. Borghese’s Dedication to Both the Expansion of Business Opportunities and His Humanitarian Endeavors Globally
In a strategic move to expand the global footprint of Borghese Ventures, its Group Chairman, Mr. Joseph Borghese, held high-level discussions with several heads of state and key stakeholders in New York. These discussions took place during the 78th United Nations General Assembly.
During these one-on-one sessions, Mr. Borghese met with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho, H.E Sam Matekane; the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tonga, Honorable Siaosi 'Ofakivahafolau Sovaleni; President of Guatemala, H.E Alejandro Giammattei; President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency Russ Joseph Kun; The Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Llewellyn Douglas, former Prime Minister (1995-2015) and current Foreign Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis; Undersecretary for Investment Promotion at Oman's Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, H.E. Ibtisam Ahmed Said Al Farooji; and Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations, H.E Dr. Mohamed bin Awad Alhassan.
The discussions centered around Borghese Ventures/ the Borghese family offices' current initiatives in their countries. Mr. Borghese also enlightened the leaders on prospective ventures in their respective countries, emphasizing the importance of Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs). Particular sectors that were the focal points of these discussions included mining, banking, technology, hospitality, and renewable energy.
On the humanitarian front, Mr. Borghese, a dedicated advocate and founder of the “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center, engaged into essential dialogues on children and human rights, identifying new opportunities for the support of the organization’s mission. He had a fruitful meeting with His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, member of the senior advisory board of Hope for Children, where he updated him about the work of the organization and discussed ways of further collaboration. As a board member of the Alliance for Global Cooperation, he also met with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the exiled opposition leader from Belarus and human rights activist.
Rounding off his engagements, Mr. Borghese graced a testimonial dinner honoring the Honorable Michel R. Pompeo, the 70th secretary of state of the United States. The Federation of Cypriot American Organizations hosted this event, with presence of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, H.E Dr. Nikos Christodoulides.
