Royal Caribbean Strengthens its Presence in Cyprus with New European Office
The Company Inaugurates New Office on Christodoulou Chatzipavlou Street, Limassol on October 11th
Global cruise giant, Royal Caribbean, is set to solidify its presence in Cyprus by inaugurating its European office in Limassol next Wednesday.
Following the registration of the Spectrum of the Seas ship under the Cypriot registry and the company's financial contribution to the establishment of the Limassol-based Innovation and Blue Economy Center, Royal Caribbean is advancing its European operations with the establishment of an office in the coastal city.
The official opening of the office, located on Christodoulou Chatzipavlou Street opposite the Limassol pier, will take place on Wednesday, 11th of October at 4:00 PM. Notable attendees include Cyprus' Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeades, Deputy Minister of Shipping, Marina Hadjimanoli, and top executives from Royal Caribbean who will be flying in from Miami, USA.
According to the company's statement, maritime industry leaders attending the "Maritime Cyprus 2023" conference, which kicks off today and concludes on Wednesday, are also expected to be present at the inauguration.
Royal Caribbean's Director for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Christos Karavos, expressed satisfaction and pride about the company's accomplishment. He noted, "Despite challenges and obstacles, the company has managed to establish its European office in Cyprus."
The announcement highlighted that Royal Caribbean has been offering cruises from and to Cypriot ports for the second consecutive year. Due to the rising demand, Cyprus has now cemented its position on the global cruise map.
