Cyprus Showcases Local Delicacies and Wines in Shanghai
International Food and Beverage Expos
Cyprus participated in the International Food and Beverage Exhibition FHC Shanghai 2023 and the International Wine and Spirits Exhibition PROWINE Shanghai 2023.
In a statement, the Ministry of Energy announced that, in collaboration with the Cyprus Trade Center in Beijing, Cyprus participated with a national pavilion at the exhibitions, which were organized at the same venue in Shanghai from November 8 to 10.
The Cypriot participation, formed as part of efforts to enhance the outward orientation of Cypriot businesses and penetrate international markets, was staffed by nine companies from Cyprus. These companies operate in various production sectors, including dairy and halloumi, juices, salt, wine, commandaria, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
The Ministry's statement mentioned that both exhibitions are considered reference points for professionals in the sector, creating an ideal environment for the international promotion of products, especially in the Chinese market.
At this year's FHC Shanghai, which attracted about 100,000 visitors, over 2,500 exhibitors from 30 countries participated. Meanwhile, the PROWINE Shanghai saw around 660 exhibitors from 30 countries, drawing approximately 30,000 visitors.
