Cyprus University of Technology Forges New International Partnership
CUT and Thammasat University Seal Agreement for Academic Cooperation and Exchange
The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) marked a significant step in its international outreach efforts by signing a cooperation agreement with Thailand's Thammasat University on November 21. This collaboration makes CUT the first Greek-speaking tertiary institution to partner with Thammasat University.
According to a press release from CUT, this agreement is aimed at fostering closer relations between the two universities. It establishes a framework for cooperation, particularly in marketing, through joint research activities and the development of both short-term/summer and postgraduate programs, benefiting both institutions.
Specifically, the agreement facilitates the exchange of students and academic and research staff. It also includes the development of educational programs and the joint organization of scientific lectures and colloquia.
The agreement was signed on behalf of CUT by Rector Professor Panayiotis Zaphiris and for Thammasat by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Surat Teerakapibal.
Dr. Yioula Melanthiou, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Marketing at CUT, is the academic coordinator for this agreement.
The signing ceremony took place at the Communication, Promotion, and Internationalisation Service of CUT on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, as noted in the press release.
