The Development Association of Kambos-Tsakistra, in collaboration with the community councils of Kambos and Tsakistra, and with the assistance of S.A.S Sports Events and Custom Timing, are organizing the first Kambos Mountain Race on January 21, 2024. 

There will be two different mountain running races on January 21: a challenging 11 km race for daring runners who want to test their abilities in the mountains, and a 22 km race for experienced and passionate mountain runners. Both races are highly difficult and are not recommended for beginner runners.

Registration for both races can only be done online. On the same day, there will be a 500m children's fun race for kids aged 6-12, with on-site registration.

At the finish line, runners and their companions will have the opportunity to experience the unparalleled hospitality of the residents of the two communities, who will offer local dishes and coffee.

The Kambos Mountain Race is held in memory of the 14 heroes of the Kambos Tsakistra Community (11 who fell heroically and 3 who are missing).
