Cyprus Airways Strengthens Greek Market Ties with Strategic Expansion

New Fleet Enhancements and Service Upgrades Announced at Athens Meeting

On January 18, 2023, Cyprus Airways held a significant meeting in Athens with major Greek travel agencies and press representatives. The aim was to strengthen direct relations with the Greek market and announce the company's plans and prospects for 2024. This meeting marks a new strategic direction for the company, focusing on expanding and upgrading services offered to the Greek travel community.

The meeting, characterized by a pleasant atmosphere, took place at the Tekila restaurant in Athens. It was attended by the Cyprus Airways team, including owner Mr. Michail Alenkin, Board Member Mr. Giorgos Hatzigiannis, and Commercial Director Mr. Christos Limnatitis, along with a substantial team from the company's commercial department. They welcomed and thanked the company's partners and celebrated the New Year by cutting the traditional Vasilopita (New Year's cake).

Mr. Alenkin, while cutting the company's Vasilopita, expressed gratitude to the partners for their collaboration so far and assured them that the partnership would be further strengthened, benefiting both business and leisure travelers. Mr. Limnatitis informed the "valued partners" from Greece that in 2024, the company plans to double its modern fleet of Airbus A220s with the addition of two new aircraft. He added, "Those passengers who have experienced the unique flight experience with the A220, in both economy and business class, have expressed great satisfaction, and we are delighted to see them returning to fly with us again."

The company's summer flight schedule for 2024 includes daily connections from Larnaca to Athens, Heraklion, Rhodes, Preveza, Skiathos, and Santorini.
