ADMIE and TSOC Hold Meeting to Discuss Great Sea Interconnector Project Progress

Leaders of the Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE) of Greece and the Transmission System Operator of Cyprus (TSOC) recently detailed the next steps in their collaboration within the framework of the electric interconnection project, Great Sea Interconnector, during a technical meeting.

According to a statement by the TSOC, a meeting was held at the ADMIE offices in Athens. Attendees included Manos Manousakis, President and CEO of ADMIE; Ioannis Margaris, Vice President and General Manager of System Development Technology and Strategy; Dimitris Michos, General Manager of Operations, Infrastructure, and Market; and Stavros Stavrinou, Executive Director of the TSOC. The meeting focused on planning the next actions for the project implementation, including technical issues.

The meeting also reaffirmed the close cooperation between ADMIE and TSOC for the smooth and rapid construction of this critical energy infrastructure. This collaboration is based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in October 2023, which outlines the provision of technical services by ADMIE to TSOC.

Finally, the meeting expressed a shared ambition to further develop their cooperation on various levels, aiming for the timely realization of the project.
