European Investment Bank Vice-President Visits Cyprus for High-Level Meetings

Discussions to Strengthen Cyprus-EIB Cooperation and Present Annual Financial Results

Kyriakos Kakouris, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), is visiting Cyprus, where he is holding meetings with Cypriot officials.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, during his stay, Mr. Kakouris, accompanied by an EIB delegation responsible for financing in Cyprus, will have a series of meetings with various state officials. These include the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Alexis Vafeades, the General Directors of the Ministries of Education, Sports and Youth, and Internal Affairs, and the Chairman of the Board of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus.

These meetings will discuss cooperation matters between Cyprus and the EIB and the Bank's activities, as part of joint efforts to support the Cypriot economy.

Furthermore, today in the multi-purpose hall of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Kakouris will present the EIB's annual financial results for 2023, its activities in Cyprus during the same period, and the advisory services provided by the Bank. The Minister of Finance, Makis Keravnos, will deliver a welcoming speech.
