Cyprus Takes Center Stage as 'Love Rat' Sets for UK Broadcast
Throughout the Production, 48 Cypriot Professionals Were Employed
A new major television production, filmed exclusively in Cyprus, is set to be broadcast in the United Kingdom.
According to a press release issued by Invest Cyprus, the four-episode drama series "Love Rat" will be aired on Britain's Channel 5, a subsidiary of Paramount Global.
It's noteworthy that this production has been approved by the Cyprus Film Commission and promotes the touristic features of Cyprus, particularly Ayia Napa and Protaras. Throughout the production, 48 Cypriot professionals were employed.
As highlighted by this TV series production in Cyprus, the country is evolving into a hub for significant international television and film productions. This development aligns with the country's objectives to attract foreign film producers, the press release stated.
"Love Rat" was commissioned for Channel 5 by Sebastian Cardwell, Deputy Chief Content Officer at Paramount UK. The series is produced by Clapperboard Studios in the United Kingdom. The executive producers are Clapperboard MD Mike Benson and Andy Morgan, with Jonathan Phillips as the producer and Polly Buckle (A Discovery of Witches) as the lead scriptwriter.
The series features Sally Lindsay, Neil Morrissey, Gerald Kyd, and Ramon Tikaram in starring roles, concludes the press release.
