Alpha Bank Cyprus Participates in the Global Campaign #ShowYourKidneys

The Bank Aims to Raise Awareness Among the Public About Chronic Kidney Diseases

Alpha Bank Cyprus Ltd, as part of the 32nd Annual Kidney Disease Awareness and Prevention Week, participated, along with its staff, in the international #ShowYourKidneys campaign, honouring World Kidney Day on March 14th.

The #ShowYourKidneys initiative is part of a broader effort to raise awareness in society about the importance of information, prevention, and recognition of risk factors for chronic kidney disease. This global movement, primarily using Social Media platforms, encourages individuals and organisations to participate by posting photos with their fists placed near the kidney area, i.e., the side of the waist, thus highlighting the importance of our kidneys and supporting efforts to inform about Chronic Kidney Disease.

By participating in this worldwide initiative, as part of its Corporate Responsibility Program, Alpha Bank Cyprus made photo posts on its Social Media channels, featuring its staff making the characteristic fist movement, encouraging others to do the same, thereby reinforcing the message of awareness and information about chronic kidney diseases.

Ms Elena Konstantinou Riri, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Alpha Bank Cyprus Ltd, stated: "Our support this year for the Pan-Cypriot Association of Friends of Kidney Patients, as part of the 32nd Annual Kidney Disease Awareness and Prevention Week, aimed to further sensitise society. Through the participation of our people in the #ShowYourKidneys campaign, we send a message about the need to improve kidney health and everyone's participation in a global enlightenment effort."

The campaign is active on all social networks with the hashtag #ShowYourKidneys, with thousands of posts worldwide. Alpha Bank Cyprus Ltd, by participating in this initiative, strengthens the message of the need to protect kidneys through simple preventive actions and awareness.
