Efforts Continue to Establish a School of Marine Sciences in Larnaca
The Study Was Recently Positively Evaluated by the Ministry of Finance
Efforts by the Municipality of Larnaca to establish the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) School of Marine Sciences, Technology, and Sustainable Development in Larnaca continue.
According to a statement from the Municipality of Larnaca, "a delegation from TEPAK, led by Rector Professor Panagiotis Zafeiris, visited the City Hall and had a meeting with Mayor Andreas Vyras to discuss the positive developments regarding the creation of the School of Marine Sciences, Technology, and Sustainable Development in Larnaca."
It is noted that "the study for the establishment of the School was recently positively evaluated by the Ministry of Finance."
During the meeting, the building needs that will be considered during the design of the CMMI facilities were also discussed, which will decisively assist in making the final decisions. Furthermore, the overall implementation plan and the establishment of the curricula, which are crucial for the sustainability and expansion of the School, were discussed.
Mayor Andreas Vyras expressed his thanks to the Rector and the Rector's Council Team of TEPAK for their efforts and the spirit of good cooperation towards achieving this goal.
It is noted that the Vice-Rectors for Academic Affairs and Financial Planning and Development, the Vice President of the TEPAK Administrative Board, officials from the Municipality of Larnaca, and members of the Municipal Council were present at the meeting.
