Cypriot Tech Firm Expands Role in European Defence Innovation with New Projects

SignalGeneriX Ltd., a leading high-tech Cypriot Research Technology Organisation, has announced its participation in two major European Defence Fund (EDF) projects. The total value of these projects is €66 million.

Dr. Tasos Kounoudes, CEO of SignalGeneriX, shared the exciting news on LinkedIn, highlighting the company’s expanding role in defence and innovation. “We are growing stronger in defence innovation, securing our participation in two new major EDF2023 contracts,” he stated. “We are proud that our unmanned vehicles AI mission computer hardware and our language technologies are utilised in these projects for developing next-generation European Defence products.”

The two projects, ACTUS and LINGUARISE-DC, aim to enhance capabilities in tactical UAV systems and advanced language processing, respectively.

The €60 million ACTUS project, coordinated by INTRACOM DEFENSE, seeks to deliver advanced capabilities and certification for Tactical UAV Systems.

The €6 million LINGUARISE-DC project, coordinated by Satways Ltd, addresses the critical need for advanced language processing in the European defence sector. Leveraging cutting-edge Human Language Technologies, the project aims to revolutionize language capabilities in military operations with a modular and adaptable platform.
