Cyprus Appoints New Members to Central Bank and Betting Authority Boards

Cabinet Approves Executive and Non-Executive Appointments in Latest Session

The Cabinet, in its Wednesday session, decided to appoint two executive directors and one non-executive member to the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Cyprus. Additionally, one member was appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Betting Authority.

According to a presidential announcement, the Cabinet, chaired by President Nikos Christodoulides, appointed Evgenia Christodoulou and Georgios Karatzias, both certified accountants with extensive experience in the financial sector, as executive directors on the Central Bank of Cyprus' Board of Directors.

Furthermore, Kyriakos Stavrou, former Deputy Senior Director of the Central Bank of Cyprus, was appointed as a non-executive member of the Central Bank's Board, replacing the resigned Angelos Grigoriadis.

Simultaneously, the Cabinet appointed Giorgos Loizou, a certified accountant, as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Betting Authority, replacing the resigned Georgios Diogenis.
