The "International Documentary Festival of Limassol" is organized every August by the non-profit organization Brave New Culture. The Festival is dedicated to presenting contemporary creative documentaries in Cyprus.

Through workshops and lectures, it offers local directors and producers the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest trends in the genre of documentary filmmaking, and to learn about funding opportunities and promotion within the broader European spectrum.

The purpose of the event is to seek out films that are innovative and that open eyes with their socio-political approach, while also being interesting from a cinematic perspective. The main goal of the Organization is to establish the "International Documentary Festival of Limassol" as a high-quality documentary festival that encourages audiences to experience a creative, timely, and richly informative event, filled with stories and images characteristic of our era, originating from our environment and other cultures.

This year marks the 19th edition of the International Documentary Festival of Limassol, continuing to offer documentary fans an unparalleled program of 20 and more award-winning creative documentaries that stood out during the festival year. Screenings are accompanied, as every year, by live discussions with guest creators, musical events, performances, DJ sets, and outdoor parties. All documentaries are presented in their Cyprus premiere screenings.

This year's documentaries are characterized by the penetrating and bold perspectives of their creators, as well as the multifaceted use of cinematic medium in recounting their real stories. The themes at their core revolve around humanity and its environment – political, social, economic, climate-related, technological – seeking answers to the question: can cinema change the world? The Festival invites you to discover it!

All documentaries are for ages 18 and above.

Subtitles: All films will be screened in their original dialogue with Greek and English subtitles.
