Nicosia Launches Free Two-Month Accelerator for Creative and Cultural Enterprises
Applications for the Nicosia HUB-IN Accelerator, aimed at supporting creative and cultural businesses, are open until September 9
The Municipality of Nicosia is offering a two-month business accelerator program for individuals, teams, and existing businesses in the creative and cultural sectors looking to develop their ideas. Interested parties are encouraged to apply by September 9.
According to an announcement from the Municipality, the Nicosia HUB-IN Accelerator aims to support and develop creative and cultural enterprises. The program is offered free of charge and is implemented in collaboration with the University of Cyprus's Center for Scientific Education, Evaluation and Development, the Cyprus Energy Agency, and the CYENS Centre of Excellence.
The accelerator specifically supports business ideas, products, and services within the cultural and creative sectors, focusing on preserving and promoting Nicosia’s historical and cultural heritage.
"The program’s goal is to foster business skills and create new opportunities for the sustainable growth of businesses," the announcement adds.
The main purpose of the program is to provide guidance, mentoring, and essential business knowledge to empower participants in successfully developing their ideas and startups, maximizing their economic and social impact.
The program includes workshops on entrepreneurship, marketing, project management, and human resources, along with personalized mentoring from experienced professionals and networking opportunities within the business ecosystem. Upon completion, participants will have the chance to present their ideas and compete for funding to further develop their businesses.
According to the announcement, the workshops will be held weekly from 17:30 to 21:30 at the Nicosia Town Hall. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop a business plan, acquire financial management skills, and prepare for the presentation of their business ideas.
