Larnaca Marina Slashes Fees by Up to 60%, Ministry Claims
The Ministry Also Informs That Maintenance and Security Service Work Had Already Begun at Larnaca Marina.
The marina fees in Larnaca are considered highly competitive compared to other commercial marinas on the island, and in some cases, they are around 60% lower, according to a statement from the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Works.
With the termination of the contract for the integrated development of the Larnaca port and marina on May 27, 2024, the Ministry has taken measures to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the port and marina infrastructure.
The Ministry also informs that maintenance and security service work had already begun at Larnaca marina and continues without interruption since the Ministry took over its operation.
The Ministry notes that the marina fees must be sustainable to support the vision of the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Works in implementing actions for the further development of Larnaca marina's maritime infrastructure and marine tourism facilities.
Additionally, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Works, as the Minister Alexis Vafeadis mentioned in a press conference, plans to make investments in the Larnaca marina, which are expected to upgrade the overall marina ecosystem in Cyprus. Renovation and maintenance works are also underway, aiming to add value to both the marina and the city of Larnaca.
