Grants: Application Deadlines Extended for Energy and Circular Economy Plans

Large Enterprise and SME Grants

The application deadline for the "Grant Scheme for Energy Upgrade and Competitiveness Enhancement of Large Enterprises" has been extended until September 30, 2024, at 11:59 p.m., according to an announcement by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry.

The Ministry’s announcement states that the total funding allocated for this scheme, which is implemented under Measures C3.1I7 and C6.1I5 of Cyprus’ Recovery and Resilience Plan, amounts to €17 million. Of this, €10 million comes from the EU's new REPowerEU scheme through the corresponding RRP budget, and it applies only to eligible expenses that support the REPowerEU objectives.

Applications and the required documentation must be submitted exclusively via the Ministry's online Grant Plans System. Priority will be based on the order in which applications are submitted (immediate evaluation), and the total approvals will not exceed the available budget for the scheme.

Interested parties can access the Grant Scheme Guide, which outlines all the details, as well as other required forms and documents, from the website of the Department of Industry and Technology.

Additionally, a revised "List of Required Documents" has been posted, indicating that unaudited financial statements for 2022 will be accepted. However, audited financial statements for 2022 must be submitted no later than November 30, 2024.

Grant Scheme for SMEs in Circular Economy Extended to October 14

Meanwhile, the application period for the "Grant Scheme for Circular Economy in Small and Medium Enterprises" has been extended until October 14, 2024, at 11:59 p.m., according to the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry.

The total funding allocated for this scheme, implemented under Measure C3.1R4 of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, is €14.4 million.

As with other schemes, applications and related documentation must be submitted through the Ministry's online Grant Plans System. Priority will be determined based on the order of submission (immediate evaluation), and the total approvals will not exceed the scheme’s available budget.
