According to an announcement by the Municipality of Ayia Napa, the four couples are Dyba and Dybova Pavel from the Czech Republic, who visited Ayia Napa 26 times; James and Mrs. Sonya Tracey Lavery from the United Kingdom, who visited 20 times; Richard and Donna Ford from Wales, who visited 27 times; and Vesa Pekka Veikkolainen from Finland and Asa Susanne Bergvall from Sweden, who visited 28 times.

During a ceremony held yesterday, Tuesday, September 17, at the Ayia Napa Town Hall, Municipal Secretary Fótos Kíkillos honored the four couples and mentioned, among other things, that "their particular preference for Ayia Napa is a great honor for the Municipality."

He added that their recognition as "Tourism Ambassadors of Ayia Napa" is the least the Municipality can do in return for the great and tangible love they have for the city.

Mr. Kíkillos further stated that "with the awarding of the Municipality's highest distinction, the honorees are now considered citizens of Ayia Napa, not just visitors."

The new "Tourism Ambassadors of Ayia Napa" expressed their "warm thanks to the Municipality for the great honor" bestowed upon them, as noted.
