Cyprus and China to Sign Agreement on Air Connectivity
Agreement Aims to Further Liberalize Flights and Strengthen Air Connectivity Between Cyprus and China
Cyprus and China are set to sign a bilateral agreement tomorrow, aimed at further liberalizing flights and enhancing air connectivity between the two nations.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Transport, the two countries will sign a Memorandum of Understanding and a bilateral agreement to increase flight liberalization. The signing will be carried out by Han Jun, Deputy Administrator of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and Panagiota Demetriou, Director of the Cypriot Civil Aviation Department, following authorization from the Council of Ministers.
"This is a significant agreement that seeks to improve air connectivity between the two countries, offering opportunities to increase the number of travelers for both recreational and business purposes," the Ministry stated. It added that "the agreement will also enhance flight connectivity and commercial exchanges between countries in the Far East and Europe."
The signing ceremony will take place at the Civil Aviation Department premises in Nicosia on Thursday at 12:00 local time.
