Larnaca Port and Marina: Minister to Present Terms Today
Expert Terms for Larnaca Port and Marina Projects to Be Discussed, With Investors Expected Soon
The Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeadis, is expected to present the terms of reference for the Larnaca Port and Marina projects to the ad hoc Larnaca Committee today, September 27.
Specifically, according to sources from Brief, today’s meeting will focus on discussing the terms of reference for the experts who will be responsible for conducting the studies related to the projects at Larnaca Port and Marina.
As of now, we understand that there have been no meetings with interested investors, a process that is expected to take place in the near future.
It is worth noting that, according to a previous report by Brief, the interested investors hail from Cyprus, Greece, Qatar, and Dubai.
As for the short-term projects involving the creation of the Nautical Club and the landscaping works to connect it to the Finikoudes area, these will proceed through an architectural competition.
The competition will be managed by the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK), in collaboration with a committee that will include representatives from the Ministry, the Cyprus Yachting Association of Larnaca, and the Larnaca Municipality.
It should be noted that the Nautical Club will be built over the marina ramp, necessitating its relocation.
