Deputy Minister Highlights Cyprus’ Investor-Friendly Environment at Athens Event

Deputy Minister to the President, Irini Piki, emphasized Cyprus' commitment to cultivating a stable, responsible, and reform-focused economic environment during a recent event in Athens. Organized by Invest Cyprus in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus, the event aimed to position Cyprus as a prime destination for investment and business growth.

A Strategic Focus on Stability and Growth

Highlighting Cyprus' appeal, Deputy Minister Piki stated that the country’s strategy, built on stability and predictability, offers unique opportunities for investors seeking growth in the Eastern Mediterranean region. This approach, she explained, has solidified Cyprus as a destination for businesses looking to operate within a secure and progressive environment.

Vision for Cyprus: Digital Advancement and Economic Competitiveness

Piki further elaborated on Cyprus' long-term vision for 2035, which includes goals to become digitally advanced and to enhance competitiveness in high-value sectors. She underscored that full digitization of services would elevate productivity and enable Cyprus to adapt more swiftly to investor demands.

Cyprus' Role in Regional Stability and Diplomatic Relations

Deputy Minister Piki also highlighted Cyprus' expanding diplomatic relationships, portraying the country as a pillar of stability within the region. This reputation, she noted, complements its investor-friendly attributes and supports its role as a regional business hub.

“With our robust infrastructure, transparent and competitive tax system, and highly skilled workforce, Cyprus is the ideal base for companies looking to expand into the Eastern Mediterranean and beyond,” she added.

Invest Cyprus Chairman: Cyprus' Resilient Economy

In his address, Invest Cyprus Chairman Evgenios Evgeniou pointed out that Cyprus’ economy continues to demonstrate one of the highest growth rates in the European Union, despite recent geopolitical challenges. This growth, he remarked, reflects the trust that foreign investors place in Cyprus' economic framework and stability.

This event underscored Cyprus' strategic position in the Eastern Mediterranean, reinforcing its status as a welcoming and progressive environment for global investors.
