Energy Minister Confirms Two Drilling Sites Planned in Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone
The ExxonMobil consortium is set to commence two new drilling operations within Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) during the first quarter of 2025. The news was confirmed by Energy Minister George Papanastasiou, who shared that one drilling will take place in the Glaucus block, while the other will target a new block.
This announcement follows prior reports, which anticipated increased activity in Cyprus’ EEZ involving Chevron and ExxonMobil.
