More specifically, effective January 1st, 2025, the Group’s development trajectory is further reinforced with the goal of consolidating its leadership position in the Renewable Energy sector in Cyprus.

As part of this new strategic direction, Mr. George Georgiou, the visionary behind the implementation and establishment of the pioneering, vertically integrated Group, assumes the role of Executive Chairman. Commenting on this transition, he states: “The growth of Green Energy Group is generated by our vision to lead the market by offering sustainable and comprehensive energy solutions. This year marks our 10th anniversary of dynamic presence in the RES sector, and with 20 years of experience in the energy industry, we remain committed to delivering innovative, integrated solutions. Our mission is to contribute to Cyprus' energy planning and the efficient utilization of green energy resources.”

The role of CEO is now entrusted to Mr. Charalambos Kyriakou, who has previously served as COO. Reflecting on his new responsibilities while counting 17 years of industry experience, Mr. Kyriakou remarks:

“I am deeply honored to lead the Group during this pivotal period of the country’s energy transition, and I sincerely thank the Board of Directors for their trust and confidence in me. I assure you that the Group will continue to act decisively as a leader in the RES sector, placing a strong emphasis on innovation and sustainability in the green transition.”

Additionally, Mr. Kyriakos Hadjiathanasiou assumes the position of COO, taking on a crucial role in the Group’s operational framework. With an academic background from the School of Natural Resources and Environmental Engineering at the Hellenic Mediterranean University and extensive experience as a Commercial Director in leading organizations, he will be contributing to the Group’s business expansion, enhancing its capacity to navigate market challenges.
